STOLEN cover reveal!

Novellas seem to be all the rage in YA these days, and I am so very happy (and grateful!) that I’ve had the opportunity to write one set in the TAKEN universe.

STOLEN is a prequel e-novella releasing February 4th. I’ll tell you all about it in a minute, but let’s look at the shiny cover first…

And here’s the official synopsis:

Before Gray Weathersby uncovered the truth about Claysoot and the Laicos Project, a girl named Bree came of age in the coastal settlement of Saltwater—and made her own surprising journey to the world beyond its borders. In Stolen, discover the story of Bree’s life before she was Snatched from her home, before she joined the rebellion, and before she met a boy named Gray…

I am obsessed with this cover.

I love how it uses the same title treatment and gradient scheme as the trilogy, but still manages to stand on its own. And Saltwater! The waves, the rocks, the trees—this is a fantastic interpretation of the story’s setting. HarperTeen has once again given me a cover prettier than anything I could have imagined. But I’m curious… What do you think?

On a personal note, I just want to add how excited I am for this little novella to head into the world. It was an absolute joy to write—to be in Bree’s head, to see her home so vividly, to learn what made her the hardened girl Gray meets in TAKEN.

If you feel so inclined to pre-order a copy for your kindle or nook (it’s only $1.99!), that would be amazing. Hugs and many thanks to you.

And because I’m feeling super grateful for all the writing opportunities I’ve had, I’d like to give away an extra copy of STOLEN right now. (But remember, it’s a pre-order and won’t be available until 2/4/14.) Use the handy widget below to enter.
